Meet Patricia Brett, a compelling artist now calling Cleveland Heights home after a vibrant 30 years in New York City and a return to her NE Ohio roots. This former architect, who studied at Ohio State and Yale, bravely shifted gears to pursue her lifelong passion for art, becoming a full-time visual artist specializing in a diverse range of mediums including prints, stone carving, and watercolor. Brett is particularly known for her captivating bas-relief explorations, seamlessly blending sculpture and printmaking in her embossed prints, plaster sculptures, stone carvings, and paper reliefs. Beyond her personal artistic practice, which has garnered recognition in permanent collections like MetroHealth Hospitals of Cleveland, recently curated the acclaimed “Sculptural Imprints” show at KINK Contemporary gallery here in Cleveland, showcasing her keen eye for innovative printmaking. Before fully immersing herself in the visual arts, Patricia also founded Veronica Brett, the first line of designer swimwear for breast cancer survivors, demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit and compassion.
